01Set up your account

Walkthrough · 4 min

Sign in, find your way around, and understand organizations and workspaces.

Lumoo turns your products, sketches and ideas into on-brand fashion imagery and video, without a photo shoot. With Lumoo you can:

  • Create AI talents: consistent digital models to wear your clothes.
  • Stage scenes: backgrounds and poses for your shots.
  • Dress talents in your garments with Virtual Try-On (VTO).
  • Turn sketches into product images with Sketch to Product.
  • Make short videos of your looks.
  • Ask Iris, Lumoo's AI assistant, to do any of the above in plain language.

What you see depends on your plan. If a menu item from this guide is missing, your plan may not include that feature.

Lumoo is invite-only, so your account starts with an email from a teammate.

  1. Open the You've Been Invited email and click Accept Invitation. Invitations expire after 7 days. If yours has expired, ask the sender to invite you again.
  2. On the Welcome to Lumoo screen, enter your Full Name and a Password of at least 8 characters, then click Continue.
  3. You land on your organization's Workspaces page.

Next time, sign in with your email and password. If you forget your password, click Forgot password? on the sign-in page. Lumoo emails you a 6-digit code that lets you set a new one.

Organizations and workspaces

Your organization is your company's account. It holds your team, credits, product catalogue and brand identity.

A workspace is a space inside it for one brand, collection or project. Everything you create lives in a workspace.

To open a workspace, click its card on the Workspaces page. To make a new one, click Create workspace, give it a name, and choose:

  • Public: everyone in the organization can see it.
  • Private: only you and the members you invite can see it.

To move between organizations and workspaces, use the switchers in the breadcrumb at the top of the page.

The workspace sidebar

  • Iris (or Home): chat with Iris, or see a feed of your recent generations.
  • Assets: your uploaded images and everything generated in the workspace.
  • Sketch to Product: turn design sketches into product images.
  • Talents: your AI models.
  • Clothes: Virtual Try-On looks — talents wearing your garments.
  • Scenes: backgrounds and poses.
  • Video: short clips from your images.
  • Settings: workspace name, AI settings, members, integrations.

Your profile, password and Sign out are in the menu at the bottom of the sidebar.

02The building blocks

Concept · 2 min

How talents, scenes, garments and looks fit together.

Everything in Lumoo builds toward a look or a product image.

  • Talent: an AI model with a consistent face and body.
  • Scene: a background and pose for the talent.
  • Garments: your clothing, from your product catalogue, your assets or a fresh upload.
  • Look: the finished Virtual Try-On image. Looks can also become videos.
  • Product image: a clean product shot made from a design sketch, a photo, or a hand sketch.

03Your first look, step by step

Walkthrough · 5 min

One of your garments, worn by an AI talent, in a scene.

On the Talents, Scenes and Clothes pages, you start by clicking the + button at the top left. This opens a panel on the side, which you can close with Esc.

Step 1: Create a talent

  1. In the sidebar, click Talents, then +.
  2. Pick a Generation Type:
    • New Face: describe the person, for example their age, features, skin tone, hair and expression. The more specific you are, the more consistent the results.
    • Digital Twin: upload a photo of a real person to recreate them.
    • Similar Look: upload a photo to use as inspiration.
  3. Leave Model and Aspect Ratio on their defaults for now, and click Generate.

Step 2: Create a scene (optional)

  1. Click Scenes, then +.
  2. Under Backdrop, either pick Describe it and write the setting and pose, or pick From a photo and upload a reference.
  3. Click Generate.

Step 3: Dress your talent

  1. Click Clothes, then +, and stay on the Single tab.
  2. Click Choose references. Pick your talent, an optional scene, and up to 6 garments. Garments can come from your products or assets, or you can upload them. Then click Save references.
  3. Optionally, add Styling notes, such as "jacket worn open, shirt tucked in".
  4. Click Generate.

The panel closes and your new look appears in the grid with a Processing ... spinner. It updates on its own when it's ready, so there's no need to refresh. If a generation fails, you'll see the reason on the card. Open the item and click Retry. Failed generations don't use credits.

Upload images and photos

Reference images can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF. Each must be at least 512 × 512 pixels and no larger than 30 MB. To add product data and images for your whole team, an admin can import a CSV file under Products in the organization sidebar.

Ready for more?

  • Sketch to Product: upload a design sketch and add details the sketch can't show, such as colours, materials or logo placement.
  • Video: describe the motion you want, for example "Model walks toward camera in a wool coat". Add reference images, choose a length, and click Generate. Each take renders as its own clip, so you can keep the best one.
  • Bulk: the Clothes, Sketch to Product and Video tools each have a Bulk tab for producing many images or clips at once. For example, you can dress one talent in many garment combinations across several scenes.

04Edit, compare versions and go back

Recipe · 3 min

Every edit creates a new version, so earlier versions are never lost.

To see an item's versions, click it to open its detail page.

  • Change something with a written instruction: click Edit, describe the change and click Apply Edit.
  • Fix a small area: click Quick Edit, draw on the image, add a prompt and click Apply. Use Ctrl+Z to undo.
  • Go back to an earlier version: select it in the Versions panel, then Set as Current.
  • Keep a version as its own item: Save as New Look (or Talent, Scene, Product).
  • See which settings were used: Generation details.
  • Sign off a look or product: Approve or Deny.
  • Download: Download, or Export as… to choose format, quality and a transparent background.

Tip: when you use Edit, choose Edit original version if you've already made several changes. Repeated edits on top of each other can slowly lower image quality.

To rename or delete an item, use the buttons on its detail page. Deleting an item can't be undone.

05Work with your team

Concept · 2 min

Roles, invitations, private workspaces and brand identity.

Your organization has two roles. Everyone can create workspaces and generate content.

  • Org Admin: everything a Member can do, and also invite and remove users, change roles, manage Billing, edit Brand Identity and change organization Settings.
  • Member: create workspaces, generate and edit content, and view Usage.

Invite a teammate (admins only): go to Users in the organization sidebar, click Invite User, enter their email, choose a role and click Invite.

Share a private workspace: open the workspace, then go to Settings → Members and add people from your organization.

Set your brand's look (admins only): describe your brand's visual style under Brand Identity, for example "Scandinavian minimalism". It shapes every generation in every workspace.

06Credits

Concept · 2 min

What uses credits, and where to check your balance.

Every image, video and Iris conversation uses credits. You're only charged when a generation finishes; failed ones are free. Each AI model shows its credit cost in the Model dropdown, so you can see the cost before you click Generate.

  • Monthly credits come with your plan and reset every billing period. They're used first, and unused ones don't carry over.
  • Lifetime credits are bought separately and never expire. They're used once your monthly credits run out.

Where to check your credits:

  • Usage (everyone): credits used over time, by product area and by workspace.
  • Billing (admins): current balance, plan, Change plan and Add lifetime credits.

A banner warns you when monthly credits are running low. If your organization runs out, generation and Iris pause until an admin adds credits.

On the Free plan, exports carry a Lumoo watermark. Paid plans export clean files.

07Tips and next steps

Recipe · 2 min

Get more out of Lumoo from day one.

  • Let Iris do the clicking. If your plan includes Iris, it opens when you enter a workspace. Type what you want, for example "Create a talent in her late 20s with short dark hair". You can also attach images or pick a suggestion chip. Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a new line.
  • Be specific in descriptions. Details like age, lighting, materials and pose give more consistent results.
  • Reuse your best work. Saved talents and scenes appear in every reference picker, so you can keep a consistent cast and setting across a collection.
  • Keep things tidy. On the Clothes and Assets pages, use search, Filters and Manage Labels. To download many items at once as a ZIP, use the Actions menu.
  • Connect your shop. Admins can connect Shopify under Settings → Integrations, then send approved looks straight to the store.
  • Change the theme. Press Ctrl/⌘+K to switch between light and dark mode.

Stuck? Ask Iris "What can you do?" or contact your organization admin.
